I’m Jessie,
Designer, founder, and the hands behind Southern Stem Studio
My Story
Southern Stem Studio started from a simple place. I’ve always loved creating beauty with intention.
I grew up with a unique mix of influence; my dad is an engineer, and my mom is an artist. Somewhere in between, I began seeing things both creatively and strategically.
That balance shows up in everything I design.
I love the structure behind florals, how they’re built, how they hold, how they move. But I also love letting a design breathe a little, so it feels natural and not overly perfected.
My Approach
There’s a phrase my mom used to say when I first started experimenting with makeup:
“Show the girl, not the makeup.”
In many ways, that’s stayed with me.
My goal is never to overpower a space, but to enhance it with arrangements that feel intentional, balanced, and in harmony with everything around them.
Every event starts with listening.
What you’re drawn to.
What you want your space to feel like.
What matters most to you.
From there, I design florals that feel personal and cohesive, without relying on templates or one-size-fits-all packages.
I keep my calendar intentionally limited so I can give each wedding and gathering my full attention.
Outside the Studio
When I’m not designing, I’m balancing life as a mom to two young boys and a full-time professional, a season that has shaped how I value time, intention, and meaningful connection.
And when I am designing, you’ll usually find me with a strong latte in hand and bopping to a playlist that changes with the seasons.
If you’re planning something meaningful and want florals that feel thoughtful, personal, and beautifully considered,
